I fell for the over-the-knee boot trend as soon as I saw it. It was at once sexy and fashion-forward and yet practical, adding an extra layer of protection when it’s freezing out and you’re only wearing tights. This season, that extra layer of protection is going up, up, up. The thigh-high boot may only be a few inches taller, but those few inches pack a lot of punch. They up the hotness factor of any outfit dramatically, and offer you a few extra inches of windchill protection, making it possible to wear minis and even long sweaters as dresses as it gets colder.
